Tasting Notes

The Kiffe Vin de France is a vibrant, low-intervention red produced by the renowned Les Vignerons d’Estézargues cooperative in the Southern Rhône, featuring a blend of sixty-four percent Carignan, twenty-four percent Grenache, seven percent Clairette, and five percent Syrah. This vintage presents a bright, translucent ruby color in the glass, offering an expressive nose of wild strawberry, crushed raspberry, and a distinct floral lift from the white grapes. Because it is fermented with native yeasts in cement vats and aged for seven months on its lees without oak, the palate remains exceptionally fresh and "crunchy," defined by high-toned acidity, a light tannic structure, and savory notes of dried garrigue. Bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulfur additions, it maintains a textured and lively finish that exemplifies the accessible "glou-glou" style of the Gard.
