This vermouth, produced in Reus, Catalonia—the historic epicenter of Spanish vermouth—offers a nut-brown hue and expressive aromatics of dried date, fig, and grapefruit peel. On the palate, it is lightly sweet yet balanced, echoing flavors of dried fruit with a juicy mid-palate and a faintly bitter finish tinged with citrus peel. Crafted from a base of Airén and Macabeo grapes and infused with over 50 botanicals, Timbal Sweet Red Vermouth showcases wormwood-driven complexity alongside subtle baking spice notes, making it both distinctive and approachable. Traditionally enjoyed during the Catalan “hora del vermut,” it is served over ice with an orange slice and olives, often accompanied by potato chips or tapas.
