Tan Fruit 2021 "Fariview Vineyard" Willamette Valley Chardonnay
95pts Parker's Wine Advocate
Launched with the 2019 vintage, Tan Fruit is the side project/2nd label Arterberry Maresh owner/winemaker Jim Maresh, one of Oregon's oldest and most important producers. In contrast to the family winery, which focuses on limited batches from estate-grown grapes, Tan Fruit broadens its horizons by sourcing diverse vineyards. With Tan Fruit, Maresh indulges his penchant for experimentation, exploring different winemaking techniques while retaining core principles like early picking, combined steel and oak aging, and bone-dry fermentation. Since their release, these amazing wines have averaged 97+ points across 9 cuvees in the 2019 and 2021 vintages from Wine Advocate. Points scores follower or no, this has to be a head turner for you if you’re serious about Chardonnay.
We've managed to get our hands on a couple cases of the amazing 2021 Fairview Vineyard Chardonnay at an incredible price, almost half off the winery's suggested retail price!
"The 2021 Chardonnay Fairview Vineyard is scented of red apples and quince with nuances of mushroom, matchstick, hay and acacia flowers. The light-bodied palate is energetic and focused with a youthfully coiled core of savory fruit and a long, mineral-driven finish."
