We've raved a lot lately about the great values coming from Chile and Argentina. Santa Ema's Merlot is another wonderful example of a sub-$20 wine from Chile that would cost you much more for the same quality and complexity from California. A big wine that is lush and spicy in style, with concentrated flavors of dark cherry, plum and dried raspberry that are creamy and rich tasting. Milk chocolate and toasty, vanilla oak dominates the finish.
