Paloma 2019 Spring Mountain Napa Valley Merlot

The 2019 Paloma Merlot from Spring Mountain District in Napa Valley is a bold and richly textured wine that exemplifies the depth and structure of mountain-grown fruit. It opens with a fragrant bouquet of boysenberry jam, black plum, anise, and floral notes like French lavender and violets, all wrapped in a veil of sweet vanilla. On the palate, it delivers concentrated flavors of blackberry compote, black currant, Kalamata olive, baker’s chocolate, and licorice, supported by firm tannins and a mouthfilling structure that promises longevity. Aged in French oak and bottle-aged for 30 months, this Merlot is built for aging and is best enjoyed from 2026 through 2033.
