Marietta Old Vine Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon is a bold, classically styled red wine that expands upon the legendary value heritage of the winery's iconic Old Vine Red series. Crafted by winemaker Scott Bilbro in California, this expressive wine is composed of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon primarily grown at the family’s McDowell property in Mendocino County. Hand-harvested and gently fermented in stainless steel before being aged in a combination of 60% neutral oak barrels and 40% stainless steel, it is intentionally made with minimal intervention to let the pure fruit character shine. In the glass, it reveals a vivid, deep ruby-purple color leading to an expressive bouquet of cassis, black currant, gravel, leather, and dried lavender, accented by hints of green olive, mocha, and dry bay leaf. The palate is punchy, savory, and full-bodied, balancing rich blackberry and plum fruits with subtle oak power, refreshing acidity, and fine, well-integrated tannins that carry into a long, layered finish.
