 Les Traverses de Fontanès Cabernet Sauvignon from the Pays d’Oc region in southern France is a compelling expression of organically farmed, old-vine Cabernet. It opens with vivid aromas of raspberry, blackcurrant, and a touch of hot stone minerality, reflecting its limestone-rich terroir. On the palate, the wine is medium- to full-bodied with a silky texture and flavors of dark berries, plum, and subtle herbal notes, supported by soft, well-integrated tannins. Fermented and aged entirely in concrete, it avoids oak influence, allowing the purity of fruit and terroir to shine through. A chalky, dry finish adds elegance and structure.
