Winemaker Notes
The Perrachon family acquired the domain of la Bottière, in Juliénas, in 1877 and can trace their winemaking history all the way back to 1601. Fleurie is probably the most feminine of the Beaujolais yet within the Fleurie district, some parcels are of greater quality and produce wines of more power and complexity than most like Perrachon’s parcel on the footsteps of "La Madone", a very rugged landscape with steep slopes, probably the best "climat" in the Fleurie Appellation. Less than 400 cases were crafted from 50+ year old vines yielding a wine with vibrant red color, with a rich, velvety texture and an elegant mix of fruit and floral aromas such as iris, violet, summer roses, peach, blackcurrants and red fruits.

This fun, juicy Fleurie rocks! Deep purple in color, this wine has a perfumed nose of rose petals, cranberry, crushed raspberry, dried cherry, black plum and rhubarb. Black tea reveals itself on the palate supported by slightly grippy tannin ultimately completing with a long finish.
