The 2021 Lando Wines Russian River Valley Pinot Noir is an intense, complex, and elegant red wine crafted from 100% Pinot Noir grapes. Sourced from small-production vineyards within Sonoma County's famous, fog-cooled appellation, the varietal thrives in regional Goldridge soils which yield deep dark fruit expressions and refined aromatics. On the nose, this vintage dominates with rich, explosive aromas of ripe raspberry, black cherry, and red currant. The palate unfolds smoothly with cascading layers of fresh berry fruit, warm baking spices, and a distinct touch of sassafras and cola. Balanced by a vibrant, lifted acidity and aging for 17 months in French oak barrels (45% new), it delivers a saturated yet fluid texture that rounds out into a decadent, lengthy finish. Because of its vibrant fruit profile, subtle spice notes, and balanced acidity, this wine pairs beautifully with a variety of classic dishes.
