45% was fermented in neutral French oak to add complexity and weight. Marlborough offers such incredible fruit flavour, this oak fermentation helps to just ease some these forward characters. The wine still delivers the quintessential characteristics of a Marlborough to meet expectations but as a smoother wine, it’s incredibly food friendly.
The Huia Sauvignon Blanc appears a light golden straw color in the glass. Notes of tropical guava and white florals fill the nose. The palate is textural and layered, wtih flavors of melon, gooseberry, and white peach with excellent length on the finish.
Pair with anything from the raw bar. White fish slider with mayo and pickle. Melon, prosciutto and halloumi salad.
