The Gil Family Estates 2023 Godina Garnacha is a highly expressive, single-variety Spanish red wine crafted by Bodegas Morca. This vintage is produced in the prestigious D.O. Campo de Borja region in Zaragoza, Spain, a historic heartland renowned for turning out exceptional, fruit-forward 100% Garnacha (Grenache) selections. Cultivated from hand-picked, low-yielding old vines grown on the slopes of the Moncayo mountain range, the grapes undergo a rigorous small-batch fermentation process before being aged for 15 months in French oak barrels. The unique continental climate and regional Cierzo winds help preserve acidity, striking an elegant balance with the bold, concentrated nature of the grape.On the nose, the 2023 Godina reveals a striking ruby-purple hue accompanied by moderately intense, refined aromas of ripe plums, dark cherries, spice box, licorice, and subtle oak.

The palate is remarkably layered, offering an earthy yet fruit-forward profile loaded with notes of wild strawberries and black cherries, seamlessly framed by hints of mocha and ceder wood.
