I've been excited for this opportunity for two years, and we've finally gotten it together.  Gibbs Napa Valley wines are simply some of the highest quality and value priced wines out there, especially being from Napa Valley.  Lucas Walter 
Dr. Lewis Gibbs Carpenter Jr. moved to Saint Helena in 1950 and started farming orchards, walnuts, dates and grapes.  By the 1970's,  he replanted most of his land to Bordeaux varieties.  Upon his passing, second and third generation family introduced Gibbs, an expression of the quality of fruit that Lewis passionately grew for 60 years.  Spencer Gibbs Handly was taught how to drive a tractor by Lewis when he was five, and he leads the third generation in operating this small family winery.
Their stellar fruit comes from their two vineyards.  The Cross Creek Vineyard is located in the valley between Howell Mountain and Glass Mountain and the Centa Vineyard is at the intersection of Lodi Lane and the Silverado Trail.  

Joining us for the evening will be Lucas Walter, who leads sales and marketing for Gibbs Vineyards. A Napa Valley native, Lucas joined Gibbs shortly after the winery’s first vintage was released and has helped grow the winery’s presence throughout the country. He brings a unique perspective to the wines, having grown up around the vineyards and alongside Spencer Gibbs Handly, one of his closest friends. His passion for sharing the Gibbs story and the family’s farming legacy makes him a perfect guide for this special evening.


We're excited to introduce The Mill into our family of collaborating restaurants!  This will be a beautifully paired dinner with the following wines.  The menu will be posted as soon as we have completed the final touches!
