Elderton 2021 Barossa Shiraz

The 2021 Elderton Barossa Shiraz is a vibrant and expressive red wine crafted from estate-grown grapes sourced from Elderton’s vineyards in Eden Valley, Greenock, and Nuriootpa, with vines ranging from 15 to 100 years old. On the nose, it opens with fragrant notes of pink and blue florals, dark cherry, blackberry, and blueberry, layered with dried herbs, anise, and baking spices. The palate is rich and concentrated, showcasing plush textures of dark plum, liquorice, and blackberry, complemented by hints of choc mint, vanillin cedar, and a touch of espresso and dark chocolate. Fine, structured tannins and lively acidity frame the wine beautifully, leading to a long, seductive finish.
