Edoardo Un-Oaked Chardonnay
Winemaker Notes
It's finally back- one of our favorite Chardonnay values! This tiny Piedmont winery produces some of our favorite Italian values. Known for many other grapes (Nebbiolo, Moscato, Barbera), Chardonnay isn't usually the first thing you think of when talking about Italy's Piedmont region, but this is a fantastic example of cool climate, unoaked style Chardonnay.
This wine exudes ripeness struck against tense mineral sensations. Juicy peach and honeydew melon flavors are wrapped around a core of crushed rocks. This is silken in feel, yet balanced by driving acidity. If you're one of those people that "doesn't like Chardonnay" because it's too oaky, buttery, heavy, or creamy, then this light, crisp, and refreshing example will open your eyes to a whole new world!
