Croze 2017 Diamond Mountain Vintner's Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

Winemaker Notes
This beautiful bottle was sourced from a small allocation of Cabernet Sauvignon from the Sori Bricco vineyard on Diamond Mountain. Sori Bricco translates from Italian to Sunny Hillside, and that is exactly what this vineyard is. The vineyard sits on a south facing slope at 900 feet of elevation.
This wine provides the exact profile one would expect from the Diamond Mountain District. The aromas open with rich plum and tobacco. On the palate the fruit intensifies with briary dark fruit and cedar. The tannins are firm but balanced and the finish has a distinct acidity.
Critical Acclaim
92pts C. Sawyer
Soft and lush, with an intriguing waxy quality that magically converts into a rich texture after the first few swirls. In the glass, the wine features a deep purple hue and attractive aromas of dark fruits, wild berries, fresh mountain herbs, cigar box, maple sap, and roasted almonds. On the palate, the generous flavors of briary blackberry, huckleberry, cassis and dried cranberry are well-integrated with hints of dark chocolate truffle, licorice, black pepper, bright acidity, and a lingering finish. Pure mountain luxury in every sip.
