Brave Cellars 2022 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir

WINEMAKER NOTES

Folks have been asking for more Brave Cellars Pinot ever since we ran out of their "Less Traveled" Pinot Noir. It's taken a while, but they've finally got a new wine shipped out to us here in NC and it is absolutely delicious. Last years' release was a 2017 vintage and showed the extra complexity that a couple years of bottle age will surely reward on this new release.

This 2022, is sourced from the family's Momtazi vineyard and neighboring sites in Yamhill-Carlton, shows brighter, youthful fruit than the 2017 and is juicy, lively Pinot Noir, offers cracked black pepper alongside crunchy red fruits, tobacco leaf and salty soil aromas. raspberry and black cherry with a hint of earthy mushroom. On the palate rich, black cherries meet bright acidity with red currant and raspberry, with just a hint of spice on the finish.  Nicely textured, with outstanding finesse, enjoy now and over the next ten years. We suggest grabbing a few to enjoy now and stashing a few in the cellar.
