Barbanera has become one of our favorite “bang for the buck” producers in Italy, and the latest and greatest offering from them is the Ser Passo Toscana Rosso. A beautiful, bright purple in the glass aromas of black cherry and sassafras come to mind on the nose. The tasty palate is brimming with black cherry, cola, and dark chocolate, followed by fine grained tannins that gently introduce themselves to coating the tongue and gums all the way through the mid-palate and onto the finish.
