The 2022 Familia Nin-Ortiz Planetes de Nin Clàssic Magnum is a biodynamically farmed gem from Priorat, crafted with a blend of 60% Grenache, 10% Grenache Pelluda, and 30% Carignan. Sourced from steep, schist-laced slopes averaging 30% grade, the wine underwent native fermentation and a four-week maceration in French foudres, followed by 17 months of aging. In the glass, it reveals dusky plum and wild blackberry aromas, gripped by the mineral tension of the llicorella soils. The palate is structured and vibrant, with lifted acidity and a schist-driven finish that speaks to its mountainous terroir.

This expressive red pairs beautifully with hearty dishes such as grilled lamb chops, venison stew, or mushroom risotto. Its earthy depth and spice also complement roasted root vegetables and aged Manchego cheese, making it a versatile companion for rustic Mediterranean fare.
