This Month's Selections

House of Brown Rose (Lodi) From the acclaimed Brown Estate family, this Lodi rosé is as stylish as it is delicious. It opens with an inviting bouquet of star jasmine, watermelon, and wild strawberry, accented by unique hints of yuzu and blood orange. On the palate, the wine is lithe and vibrant with a silky texture that carries through to a clean, subtle finish. Its bright acidity and light body make it a perfect match for spicy shrimp tacos, summer salads, or simply enjoyed as a refreshing aperitif on a sunny afternoon.

Cuvee Nokat Bordeaux Blanc (Bordeaux) This modern take on white Bordeaux is a bright and expressive blend, primarily featuring Sauvignon Blanc with a touch of Sémillon for weight. It boasts a delicate aromatic profile of citrus blossoms, white peach, and fresh lemon zest. The palate is lively and harmonious, offering a crisp mineral core that balances the ripe orchard fruit flavors beautifully. It is an approachable, food-friendly white that pairs wonderfully with grilled flaky fish, goat cheese, or light pasta dishes.

Pas du Cerf “Diane” Provence Rouge (Côtes de Provence) A sophisticated red from the heart of Provence, this Syrah-led blend offers a refined alternative to the region’s famous rosés. The nose is a charming mix of blackcurrant, crushed cherries, and the herbal "garrigue" scents of rosemary and thyme typical of the Mediterranean landscape. It is remarkably supple and elegant on the tongue, showing fine tannins and a refreshing lightness that avoids any heavy extraction. This "pleasure wine" is a fantastic companion for herb-roasted lamb or savory Provençal vegetable stews.

Ridge Paso Robles Zinfandel (Paso Robles) Sourced from the historic Benito Dusi Ranch, this is a benchmark California Zinfandel known for its balance and classic varietal character. It features deep aromas of ripe plums, strawberries, and exotic baking spices, underpinned by a signature dusty mineral note. The palate is bursting with juicy raspberry and black cherry fruit, energized by a vibrant acidity that keeps the medium-to-full body feeling light on its feet. It finishes with impressive length and a touch of toasted oak, making it a natural fit for BBQ ribs or hearty stews.

Durigutti Proyecto Las Compuertas Malbec (Mendoza) This artisanal Malbec comes from 100-year-old vines in one of Mendoza’s most prestigious high-altitude sub-regions. It offers a perfumed and expressive nose of violets, black cherry, and lavender, layered over an earthy foundation of tobacco and forest floor. The wine is vinified in concrete eggs to preserve its pure fruit energy, resulting in a silky, medium-to-full-bodied palate with a refreshing mineral snap. It is a sophisticated expression of the grape that brings a touch of old-world elegance to the power of Argentinian Malbec.

Quinta do Gradil (Lisboa) Hailing from a historic estate north of Lisbon, this Portuguese red is a robust blend of indigenous and international varieties like Touriga Nacional and Tannat. The wine displays an intense ruby color and a complex aromatic profile of wild berries, balsamic, and a hint of tobacco leaf. It is full-bodied and structured with elegant, well-integrated tannins that provide a sturdy frame for the rich dark fruit flavors. The finish is long and persistent, making it an excellent choice for pairing with grilled steaks, wood-fired pizzas, or aged hard cheeses.
