This collection brings together four exceptional vintages of Marques de Murrieta Castillo Ygay Gran Reserva Especial — 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012 — offered individually or as a rare four-bottle vertical.
Marques de Murrieta wines are a collector's dream. Steeped in rich history, the oldest brand in Rioja, Spain, released with age, high scoring across the board, and garnering such praise from James Suckling as "The Best Spanish Wine of the Year and the only wine from Spain to be in the world's top 10". The origin of Marques de Murrieta winery is also the origin of Rioja. The Estate of Ygay (pronounced ee-guy) is one of the most famous in the world.
Castillo Ygay is only produced in selected vintages, making library-held bottles increasingly scarce. This collection represents one of Rioja’s most iconic wines, a benchmark estate dating back to 1852, celebrated worldwide for its longevity, elegance, and complexity.
