Benevolent Neglect 2018 Napa Cabernet Sauvignon

The first Cabernet Sauvignon from these small producers is exactly what we would expect based on their style. The Meadowbrook single vineyard Oak Knoll fruit shows a cooler growing profile with herbs, earth, plum skins and hints of red fruits.  The taut fruit is beautifully balanced by 40% new French oak, imparting glimpses of vanilla, ganache, sweet cigar box, and sage.  A modern take on a classic style. Tiny production and low alcohol.
