The Curator is a blend of Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, and Viognier sourced from Swartland bush vines, is crafted to be a complex and expressive yet easy-drinking and affordable white. The nose is immediately engaging, presenting layers of ripe white peach and apricot, interwoven with bright, ripe citrus notes. The Chenin Blanc acts as the structural backbone, while the naturally fermented Chardonnay contributes significant texture and unusual, delightful aromas reminiscent of dried peaches and apricots. The inclusion of Viognier rounds out the profile, adding a subtle spice and extending the palate length. The wine is medium-light in body, yet the time spent aging on the lees provides a soft, rich, almost fresh-bread like textural element that is highly appealing.
