In the cool-climate region of Martinborough, the 81.5 acres terraced Te Muna Road Vineyard is planted with eight clones of Pinot Noir in more than 40 different parcels. On the vineyard’s two distinct terraces, stony soils produce exceptional Pinot Noir. Grapes are hand harvested and destemmed before undergoing fermentation in open-top oak tanks. The wine matures on the lees in oak barriques before bottling.

A lucid lift of heady aromas, from blueberry and cherry to pressed rose petals and dried herbs, leads to an elegant palate. There's drive, balance and a crowd-pleasing factor that makes this modern, North Island Pinot an easy sip solo, but also capable of evolving over the next several years.
