The Altesino 2021 Brunello di Montalcino is a highly acclaimed, classic expression of 100% Sangiovese Grosso, showcasing the signature elegance and finesse of its northern Montalcino terroir. The wine pours a vibrant ruby-red color with a subtle garnet rim. On the nose, it delivers an aromatic bouquet of violet, wild berries, tobacco, chocolate, and vanilla, complemented by fresh undertones of red cherries, dried herbs, and a hint of citrus peel. The palate is rich, full-bodied, and velvety, balancing a fruit-forward core of plums and wild strawberries with a vibrant spine of acidity. This vintage is characterized by a focused, linear structure and well-defined, fine-grained tannins that lead into a long, mouthwatering, and savory finish.
