• Domaine Bousquet Virgen Cabernet Sauvignon 2023

  This organic, no-sulfite-added wine from the high-altitude Gualtallary sub-region of Mendoza offers a remarkably pure expression of the grape. The nose is dominated by fresh black cherry and plum, with distinct mineral undertones and a hint of black tea. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied and fruit-forward, lacking the heavy oak influence found in many Argentine Cabs. The tannins are soft and approachable, making it a vibrant, easy-drinking option.

  Viña Maquis Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

  Coming from the Colchagua Valley, this vintage is a blend of 94% Cabernet Sauvignon with small additions of Carménère, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. It presents a more traditional Chilean profile with aromas of cassis, plum, and a touch of menthol. The palate is characterized by its "slippery" texture and firm tannins, featuring flavors of dark chocolate, tobacco, and black cherry. There is a noticeable oak influence that provides a structured, charred note on the finish.

  Jax Vineyards Y3 Cabernet Sauvignon 2023

  The Y3 is a North Coast, California blend that leans into the bold, structured style typical of the region. It opens with an evocative nose of cassis, red currant, and espresso. The palate is dense and concentrated, showing ripe blackberry and blueberry fruit accented by star anise and cocoa. Despite its power and full body, it maintains precision with bright acidity and fine-grained tannins. It is a modern, polished wine that drinks well in its youth.

  Château Les Ormes Saint-Julien 2018

  This Bordeaux blend—roughly 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot—exhibits the classic elegance of Saint-Julien. The 2018 vintage is particularly aromatic, offering layers of dark cherries, tobacco leaf, and cedar. It is medium-bodied with a core of red and black currant fruit supported by well-integrated, velvety tannins. It displays more earthy complexity than the New World options, with a finish that highlights graphite and savory herbs.
