Spanish & Portuguese Sampler #1 - Our Top White, Rose & Bubbly Value Wines

 $91 Value for $66

Bright, lively, and wonderfully food-friendly, our October white and rosé sampler captures the refreshing, coastal side of the Iberian Peninsula while highlighting why Spain and Portugal remain unmatched when it comes to bang for your buck. From the high-altitude granite hills of Portugal’s Dão and the breezy coast of Vinho Verde to the mineral-driven vineyards of Rías Baixas, Rioja, Navarra, and Penedès, this six-bottle collection proves that exceptional quality doesn't require a steep price tag. Every bottle is crafted by independent, family-owned estates committed to sustainable viticulture, delivering remarkable craft, pure expressive fruit, and serious quality-to-price ratio in an effortlessly versatile lineup of energetic whites, crisp rosé, and traditional-method sparkling.

Sampler includes 1 bottle each:

Cabriz Dão Rosé (Dao, Portugal)
Hailing from the granite-rich hillsides of the Dão region in central Portugal, this crisp rosé is crafted primarily from Touriga Nacional and Alfrocheiro. It pours a vibrant pink hue and delivers a lively bouquet of fresh red berries, dominated by wild strawberries, ripe cherries, and a touch of tart raspberry. The palate is smooth and refreshingly dry, balanced by the characteristic cool-climate acidity of the Dão that keeps every sip clean and energetic. As one of the flagship estates of Quinta de Cabriz, the winery is deeply committed to sustainable viticulture across its vineyard blocks, ensuring the granite minerality of the region shines through without heavy intervention. It makes an incredible partner for tapas, grilled shrimp, or cured meats.

Santola Vinho Verde Branco (Vinho Verde, Portugal)
Instantly recognizable by its iconic crab label, Santola is a classic, light-bodied Vinho Verde from the coastal northwestern corner of Portugal, made by Caves Messias. A traditional blend of Loureiro and Pedernã (Arinto) grown in granite soils, it opens with bright aromas of fresh citrus blossom, green apple, and white peach. On the palate, a gentle touch of residual sweetness is perfectly offset by snappy acidity and that quintessential, delicate effervescence that makes Vinho Verde so refreshing. At just 9% alcohol, it's as easygoing as it gets. Founded in 1926, Caves Messias remains a family-owned house dedicated to authentic Portuguese wine traditions. This is the ultimate patio white and an effortless pairing for fresh seafood or lighter shellfish dishes.

Nessa Albariño (Rias Baixas, Spain)
Crafted by Adegas Granvinum in the heart of the coastal Val do Salnés sub-region of Rías Baixas, Nessa showcases everything to love about authentic Galician Albariño. The wine shows a brilliant straw-yellow color in the glass and offers high-toned aromas of white blossoms, elderflower, crisp green pear, and citrus peel. The palate entry is soft yet energetic, packed with juicy orchard fruit and a distinct saline minerality that drives straight through to a lingering finish. Adegas Granvinum is a small, family-owned estate that focuses on small-lot production, working directly with their own sustainably farmed plots and long-standing local growers to hand-harvest all of their fruit. Its saline streak makes it a natural match for oysters, grilled octopus, or goat cheese.

Bodega Inurrieta "Orchidea" Sauvignon Blanc (Navarra, Spain)
Originating from the high-altitude vineyards of Navarra in northern Spain, Orchidea offers a captivating Spanish take on Sauvignon Blanc. It bursts with fragrant aromas of passionfruit, white peach, mandarin orange, and crushed herbs. Brief aging on its fine lees bestows a lovely textural weight and silkiness to the mid-palate, which is beautifully frame-matched by vibrant, mouthwatering acidity and a squeaky-clean finish. Bodega Inurrieta is a family-owned estate named in homage to the vineyard land where the family ancestors grew grapes generations ago, utilizing precise, eco-friendly farming techniques to protect their native soils. This textured white shines alongside roasted poultry, leafy salads, or goat cheese crostini.

Bodega Perica “Mi Villa” Blanco Rioja (Rioja, Spain)
This vibrant, unoaked white Rioja is produced by Bodegas Perica, bringing a wonderfully modern expression to classic Spanish grapes. A blend dominated by Viura with a splash of Garnacha Blanca, it opens with a clean, expressive nose of white flowers, lime zest, and green apple. Because it sees no oak treatment, the palate retains a crunchy, pure fruit profile with crisp acidity and a supple finish that invites another sip. Bodegas Perica is a third-generation, family-owned winery established in 1912, controlling over 140 acres of estate vineyards across Rioja Alta to ensure total quality control from vine to bottle. It is a versatile everyday drinker that pairs seamlessly with grilled fish, paella, or light pasta.

Barcava Cava Brut (Guarda, Spain)
Made using the traditional Champagne method, this sparkling classic from the Penedès region delivers exceptional quality and effervescence. Built on the classic Catalan blend of Macabeo, Xarel-lo, and Parellada, it exhibits a bright straw-gold color with a fine, persistent bead. The nose reveals inviting aromas of green apple, citrus blossom, and subtle toasted brioche from extended lees aging. On the palate, it is crisp, perfectly dry, and well-balanced with a soft texture and a refreshingly clean finish. Barcava is crafted by Cavas Masachs, a boutique, family-run estate located in Torrelles de Foix that has been dedicated to sustainable estate viticulture and small-batch Cava production for generations. Serve this thoroughly chilled alongside salty tapas, fried calamari, or artisan cheeses.
