For many white wine drinkers, Pinot Grigio was their introduction to the world of dry style white wines.  Easy drinking, fresh and fruity (sometimes even a hint sweet for the mass produced grocery store brands), its on every restaurant wine list, and lots of inexpensive examples out there.  Some fell in love with the grape and have stuck with it while many moved on to other varietals.
But if you think that all Pinot Gris/Grigio and other members of the white Pinot family of wines are simple, fruity, uninteresting wines then this sampler will be a real eye opener.  If you're already a fan of "better" white Pinot's then this is a great deal you won't want to pass by.

Amity Vineyards 2024 White Pinot Noir (Willamette Valley, Oregon)
This unique expression of 100% Pinot Noir vinified without skin contact highlights the hidden white wine identity of Oregon's flagship red grape. Fermented cold in 100% stainless steel and aged on its fine lees, it delivers subtle layers of Pink Lady apple, white peach, honeydew melon, and lemon custard alongside a soft, textured mid-palate. Bright acidity and a pristine mineral streak lift the finish, creating a beautifully balanced and nuanced profile.

Attems 2025 Ramato Style Pinot Grigio (Friuli DOC, Italy)
Crafted in the historic ramato tradition of Friuli, this bottling undergoes extended skin contact to extract a striking coppery hue and enhanced aromatic complexity. The nose opens with vibrant red berries, wild strawberry, and citrus rind, leading into a structured palate with a gentle tannic grip and notes of crushed stone. Its rich weight and mouthwatering acidity deliver a memorable, texture-driven tasting experience.

Raptor Ridge 2024 Vineyard Select Pinot Gris (Willamette Valley, Oregon)
Expressing classic Pacific Northwest precision, this Pinot Gris opens with lifted aromas of Bartlett pear, white peach, green apple, and fresh Meyer lemon zest. Sommelier André Mack brings a fresh perspective to Oregon Pinot Grigio with this vibrant, highly engaging bottling. Bright aromas of green apple, juicy pear, and lemon zest merge with delicate hints of white flowers and wet stone. The palate is lively and bright, showing flavors of ripe peach, Meyer lemon, and honeysuckle, supported by energetic acidity and a clean, refreshing finish.
