Great Value Whites Mixed Case - Feb/Mar 2025

Great Value Whites Mixed Case – February/March 2025

$205 value for just $140

Just like the current red counterpart to this edition of our Great Value Whites, this mixed case is a great mix of familiar labels and fantastic new finds.  A wonderful blend of rich, full bodied wines for cooler weather and crisp, zippy refreshers.

The mixed case includes 2 bottles each wine:

Paul D Rose (Austria) - We're really excited that this producer is back on the shelves and until the fresh vintage of his always amazing Gruner Veltliner arrives in a few months, Paul D fans can enjoy his tasty Rose.  Featuring two quintessentially Austrian red grapes. Zweigelt and its lesser-known half-brother, Blauburger, have less than a century of existence under their belts, but that doesn’t deter them from fueling this light-bodied, clean, flavorful Rosé with spry wisdom and vibrant energy.

When & Where Chenin Blanc (South Australia) - When & Where is a winery producer based in Australia. They produce delicious, fresh, crisp wines from organic Australian vineyards in the region of the Riverland. The wines are sustainable, vegan, varietal and ultimately refreshing. We celebrate the everyday occasion that you crack open and take the time to enjoy great wine. It could be a well-earned holiday by the pool, the simple thrills of welcoming the weekend, finally getting the kids to sleep or bingeing a new show. A good glass of wine makes the simple times better. Chenin Blanc dances across the tongue with zippy acidity and fresh fruit flavors. We love Chenin a lot, but for some reason it just tastes better at the end of the work week.

Aquamarine Sauvignon Blanc (New Zealand) - Another textbook example of a region's signature white varietal, you won't believe there isn't a fresh grapefruit sitting in front of you instead of a glass of wine once you pour this zippy and refreshing Sauv Blanc.  This is no one trick pony though, the mouth watering grapefruit is complimented by gooseberry, guava, saline minerality, and green herb.  Pretty impressive for just $14.

Jean Perrier et Fils “Cuvee Gastronomie Abymes” Savoie (France) - Jean Perrier et Fils is a family estate passed from father to son for seven generations since 1853. The domaine has slowly expanded over the generations and today they own sixty-two hectares focusing mainly on varieties indigenous to the Savoie - Jacquere, Altesse, and Mondeuse.  The Cuvee Gastronomie Abymes is 100% Jacquerre, and in the glass there's a white gold color with hints of green. Fresh almond, white flowers and citrus fruits on the nose. A vibrant mouthfeel on the palate but it rounds out with lovely mineral notes and orange zest.

Quinta de Cabriz Dao White (Portugal) Crafted from 4 Portuguese varietals that few people have ever heard of, all you really need to know it that it is absolutely delicious and only 10 bucks a bottle. bright yellow color, with greenish highlights. On the palate it is a wine of great aromatic intensity, where aromas of pears, green apples and citrus fruits predominate. In the mouth, it is very fresh with mineral nuances.

Porta Dante Pinot Grigio (Italy)  -
Delicately scented and soft on the palate, it offers classic citrus and floral notes in a balanced elegant style. Lemon-green in color, aromas of Key limes and white peaches complement undertones of green apples and grains of paradise. On the palate, it is smooth and refreshing with a long, pleasant finish.
