The Turley 2023 Juvenile Zinfandel is exuberant and expressive, crafted from young vines aged between 6 and 25 years sourced from 27 of Turley’s top vineyards across California. It opens with a vibrant nose of dark raspberry, blue fruits, and classic Zinfandel spice, underpinned by soft tannins and a juicy, fruit-forward profile. Aromas of cherries, blackberries, and plums are accented by floral, briary, and earthy notes, with hints of pepper, anise, dried herbs, and subtle oak and vanilla. On the palate, it delivers lush, ripe fruit flavors with very good concentration and a smooth texture, supported by a full-bodied structure and bright acidity. Aged for 12 months in 80% French and 20% American oak, with only 5% new barrels, the wine is proportionately oaked and well-balanced, with a dense midpalate and a lingering finish.
