WINEMAKER NOTES

Perhaps our best selling and most familiar Barolo option, this Nebbiolo beauty is made in the La Morra region of Barolo, known for its proximity both geographically and stylistically to Barbaresco. The soil here is a similar composition, lending the wine a lean minerality not usually seen in the more broad-shouldered Barolos.

The winemaker’s affinity for sustainable agriculture and traditional techniques, like aging in massive oak foudres (called botti in Italy) and clay amphorae, protect the delicacy of the fruit. We get forest herbs and blood orange on the nose, with bright red fruit and fine tannins on the palate.
