Winemaker Notes

The new vintage of our bestselling Malbec, Belasco Family's "Llama," may be the best one they've delivered yet. Sourced from the family's 110+ year old vineyard in Mendoza, Argentina, it's amazing that they can make a sub-$20 wine from such an ancient vineyard, but we're glad they do.

Modern wine that is bright ruby-red in color. Ripe fruit aromas of cherries, blackberries and plums, integrate with the toasty notes from ageing in top quality oak. Warm, rounded and well-structured on the palate, this wine has a medium-body, soft tannins, and a well-balanced finish.
