Opening Act Pinot Noir from Timbre Winery is a vibrant, expressive bottling that showcases the cool-climate finesse of Monterey County. In the glass, it leans toward a deep ruby hue, and the nose opens with a bouquet that’s equal parts floral and fruit-driven—red roses, strawberry, and cranberry take center stage, accented by subtle citrus blossom and a whisper of cola. There’s a hint of chocolatey richness that evokes red velvet cake, adding a  sense plushness without implying heaviness.
On the palate, the wine strikes a graceful balance between weight and lift. It carries a silky texture with moderate body, offering ripe red fruit flavors layered over earthy undertones—think mushroom, forest floor, and a touch of dried herbs.
