This savage beast hails from Paso Robles and is a multi-vintage Cabernet Sauvignon based blend (14% Petit Verdot & 10% Petite Sirah), clocking in at 15% abv. The rugged Paso Robles growing region possesses the largest diurnal temperature difference of all California wine-growing regions. Days can reach over 100 degrees and nights can be in the low 30s. Extreme heat forges fruit with dark, bold, monstrously brooding flavors and freezing nights help to retain balancing acidity.

This monster is black ruby in color, boasting aromas and flavors of cassis pie, dusty pencil shavings, bell pepper, chocolate buttercream, and moss with a satiny, crisp, fruity medium-to-full body and a tingling, captivating, medium-length finish with notes of berry compote and spiced and pickled watermelon rind with moderate oak flavor.
