Tasting Notes

This non-vintage blend is composed of 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 7% Syrah, 3% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Malbec, all estate-grown and sustainably farmed. It opens with aromas of very ripe cherries, black currants, pipe tobacco, and baking spices, leading into a full-bodied palate of blackberry, dark cherry, and vanilla, framed by toasty oak and balanced acidity. The wine is aged in a mix of American and French oak, with about 40% new barrels, lending structure without overwhelming the fruit. Its plush texture and ripe tannins make it a versatile companion to grilled ribeye, smoked brisket, pasta Bolognese, or portobello mushroom burgers, while its spice and depth complement sharp cheddar, Gouda, or blue cheese.
