The aromatic profile is vibrant and fresh, opening with notes of wild strawberry, fresh lemon zest, and delicate white florals, often including hints of rose petals. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied with a round texture and a backbone of racy, crunchy acidity that maintains a refreshing feel. The nose their Gewurzt is a mix of fresh rose petals and lychee, underscored by a note of ginger. The palate, the wine is delightfully juicy and fully dry, expressing clear flavors of pink grapefruit, tropical sorbet, and candied orange peel, all held together by a clean minerality and zippy acidity. Chehalem Pinot Gris (Oregon) - Oregon is one of the world's premier regions for the Pinot Gris grape, and Chehalem is a pristine example of the style. This wine's strength lies in the difference between Pinot Gris and its Italian counterpart, Pinot Grigio, where unlike the light, lean, and purely citrus-driven Italian Grigio, this Oregon Gris is made in a richer, more aromatic style, which provides superior complexity and texture. The aromatic profile is clean and vibrant, showcasing definitive notes of fresh pear, white pollen, and lime peel. The palate is juicy and bright with a satisfying mid-palate viscosity and flavors of ripe pear and honeydew, all lifted by a zippy acidity that is exceptionally refreshing. This slightly fuller, aromatic profile makes it an ideal selection for fall and the Thanksgiving table, as it has the body to stand up to the diversity of autumn spices and heavier poultry dishes without overpowering the palate.
