Moet & Chandon Rose Imperial Champagne

$ 74.99

Winemaker Notes

Rosé Imperial displays a pink color with amber highlights. Lively and intense, the bouquet exudes red fruits (wild strawberry, raspberry, cherry) with floral nuances of rose and a slight hint of pepper. On the palate, the wine shows a juicy intensity of berries (strawberry, raspberry, red currant) rounded out by the fleshiness and firmness of peach and the freshness of a subtle note of mint.

The Somm Journal

Textbook from the mousse onward, this salmon-hued blend of primarily Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier with a smaller percentage of Chardonnay emits aromas of raspberry and yeastiness that make room for flashes of apricot, almond, and floral notes; the palate, meanwhile, sits in the center of the Venn diagram linking consummate freshness to red-berry fruitiness to elegance, framed by the slightest of tannins.

Delicate verbena and candied pink grapefruit zest accents lead to macerated blackberry, toasted nut and saline notes in this balanced and creamy rosé, with well-cut acidity. Drink now through 2022.
