Finca Origen Malbec (Mendoza, Argentina) – The intense violet color makes it a worthy representative of the wines from Los Chacayes. A wine of distinct aromatic complexity, with outstanding notes of red fruits, floral aromas of violets, vanilla and cigar. The mouth confirms the presence of black fruits like blackberries and spices. The medium structure and silky tannins are perfectly balanced with the delicious natural acidity, leading to a prolonged finish.
Torre Vinaria Montepulciano d'Abruzzo (Italy) - This bold red from Abruzzo is 100% Montepulciano. Cantina Frentana is a co-op that produces an excellent array of wines from this region on the eastern side of central Italy, right next to the Adriatic sea. Abundant sunlight ripens this deeply colored grape lending full fruity aromas and flavors of plum, black cherry and blackberry. A hint of spice makes it ideal to pair with hard aged cheeses and lamb.
3 Henrys Pinot Noir (France) – A true expression of the varietal, this is a fresh, ultra-quaffable wine that is a burst of pure fruit. A nose of forest berries and red fruits gives way to bouncy palate flavors of currents, berries and plums and finishes with earthy tones of red cherries. A four seasons wine to be equally enjoyed around the fireplace or with a slight chill dreaming of a South of France summer afternoon.
Barahonda Carro Tinto (Yecla, Spain) - Señorio de Barahonda, owned by the Candela family, was founded in 1925 with 840 acres of vineyards in the town of Yecla in southeastern Spain. The Carro Tinto is a blend of Monastrell, Syrah, Tempranillo, and Merlot; tank-fermented and -aged, the wine has great fruit intensity, with hints of licorice, roasted meats, and chocolate. Supple tannins and low acidity make it a very accessible, user-friendly red.
Sierra Salinas "Mo" Monastrell (Alicante, Spain) – Blueberries, violets, white pepper, and graphite notes all emerge from the 2018 Mo, which is 100% Monastrell, from old vines and high elevation vineyards, brought up all in stainless steel. Juicy, medium-bodied, with good acidity, and plenty of fruit, and is a smoking value from Alicante, Spain.
Alias Cabernet Sauvignon (California) - Juicy aromas of dark fruit, mocha and spice meet with hints of vanilla. On the palate, black cherry, red raspberry and plum are followed by a long, smooth finish. Alias Cabernet Sauvignon’s ripe fruit and clean acidity make it a versatile food partner. Enjoy a glass on its own or with your favorite foods like grilled burgers, pizza and rotisserie chicken.
