Les Vignerons du Castelas were founded in 1952 from the will of four Winemakers to share their grapes and hard work, in order to be able to deliver great wines from the area of Rochefort-du-Garde located in the Southern Rhone Valley, between Avignon and Pont du Gard.  They named themselves after Le Castelas, the Romantic chapel built in the 11th Century, a symbol of the town. All the winegrowers are sustainable, and many of them are in the conversion to get certified organic.
