Bodega Caligiore “Single Organic Vineyard” Syrah

Caligiore is a family-owned winery devoted to the production of certified organic wines from Luján de Cuyo in Argentina. From 3,000 feet above sea level in the foothills of the majestic Andes Mountain Range, each of their wines fully captures the unique terroir of the Upper Mendoza River Valley.

Just 89 cases of this fantastic Syrah were produced by their certified organic vineyard for this vintage.  From this miniscule yield Caligore crafted a wine whose nose is brimming with red fruit aromas of strawberry marmalade and raspberry, accented with subtle notes of vanilla and chocolate. On the palate, fine grained tannins interlaced with balanced acidity deliver an unctuous and fresh wine with a full mouthfeel that recall flavors complimentary of the aromatic cues.
