Bibi Graetz Casamatta Toscana

We were already big fans of artist and winemaker Bibi Graetz’s Sangiovese, but we’re maybe more impressed with his white, especially considering the $100 price tag of the red.  The Bianco is crafted from Vermentino, Trebbiano and Ansonica easily brings to mind a sunny, breezy afternoon in the Tuscan hills.  fresh and aromatic with hints of green apple and florals. Fermentented and aged only in stainless steel tanks to preserve the fresh fruit aromas and flavors, it has bright, fruity aromas of lemon zest and green apple. The Vermentino brings clean, fresh acidity with structure; Ansonica adds floral notes; and Trebbiano balances and smooths this wine giving way to a medium-bodied mouthfeel.
