Value Sampler Case Includes 2 Bottles Each:
Pazo Cilleiro Albarino (Spain) - This delicious Albariño is a very lively pale gold, with green reflections in the glass leading into an intense nose, with pronounced notes of citrus and white fruit (pears, apples and white peaches), as well as floral hints. The palate is vibrant and fresh, with the fruit from the nose filling the mouth. It has the typical intense texture of a well-grown Albariño, with a round, persistent and pleasantly refreshing finish.
Dobravac "Suita" Malvasia (Croatia) – This wine is made from the Istrian Malvasia grape. A beautiful greenish-yellow colour adorns the wine, it is crystal clear and has a fine and pleasant aroma. Its nose is dominated by notes of green apple and pear, elderflower, citrus notes and a little bit spices. The wine is dry, light, drinkable and tasty. It has a medium body, a good balance between alcohol and freshness and a harmonious quality.
Rainstorm Pinot Gris (Oregon) – Planted in 1992, the Rainstorm Estate Vineyard and Winery are located in the heart of the Valley, the newly recognized and often breezy, Van Duzer Corridor AVA. A bright cool-climate Oregon Pinot Gris. It is pale gold in color and has aromas and flavors of crisp pear, melon and honey blossom. It has a bright, clean finish with bracing acidity that perfectly balances with the fruit flavors.
Stemmari Dalila White (Sicily) – From the union between the Sicilian varietal Grillo and the international Viognier, native to the Rhone valley, comes a harmonious blend that expresses the sunlight and richness of Sicily. This aromatic wine showcases the great oenological potential of Sicily that expresses elegantly fragrant aromas in its white wines. In this wine, Grillo brings intense, exotic tropical notes of mango intermingled with delicate notes of white flowers and stone fruits. Viognier flourishes in Sicily, expressing delicate notes of peach, apricot and citrus with a light hint of wildflowers and fresh honey. Behind these two components, there is a refined oak element with elegant notes of vanilla that respect the nuance of these varietals.
Giocato Sauvignon Blanc (Slovenia) – The Giocato is back, but this time we've got winemaker Aleks Simcic's Sauvignon Blanc instead of his Pinot Grigio. This Sauvignon Blanc is piercingly clean and bright, with loads of lemony citrus, stone fruit and a great mineral-driven finish. This is not your typical offensively-grapefruit driven New Zealand style Sauv Blanc. It costs less than most of those and has twice the complexity!
Tinto Rey Rose (California) - The new vintage of the Tinto Rey is here and it is absolutely fantastic. Tinto Rey is Spanish varietal label for the guys at Matchbook Wines. The Rose is crafted from their Dunnigan Hills estate grown Tempranillo, Tannat & Verdejo. Beautiful, fresh fruit-salad aromas lead to full flavors of peach, vanilla cream, honeydew and ambrosia. This pretty Rosé is bright, crisp and refreshing with a bit of stone-fruit sweetness that adds viscosity and a nice counterpoint to the zesty notes. The flavors linger in the finish and set up the palate for another delicious sip.
