Value Sampler Case Includes 2 Bottles Each:
Les Hauts Plateaux Alpes de Haute Provence Rose (France) - A blend of Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault, it has the classic very pale salmon pink color of our favorite wines of the region. Aromas of cherries, fresh peaches and water melon are followed by stony notes and faint spice. Very rounded textural feel with flavors of peaches and watermelon over a back drop of pebble stones and spice. Dry finish with fresh acidity and an aftertaste of peaches, watermelon, stony characters and spice.
La Lisse Chenin Blanc (Loire Valley) -
This ripe yet crunchy fruit gives this wine it's freshness, vigor and spine, at the same time it's luscious texture which is further complemented and enriched from one third vinified and matured for nine months in seasoned French oak barrels. A bright, lemony and densely fruity ensemble which has a long-lasting and thought-provoking finish, smooth ("lisse") as silk ("soie").
Cantagrils Picpoul de Pinet (France) - Winemaker Claude Jourdan works the estate her mother started in 1983. She has 45 acres of Picpoul growing on red, iron-rich soils. Picpoul de Pinet is the uniquely Languedoc white grape, signature white grape of the region, Picpoul (peek-pool), with stern minerality and zippy clean acidity. If you're a fan of Sauvignon Blanc, you should give this a try. From the Languedoc, it's one that evokes all that maritime freshness. Think grapefruit, flowers and a sprinkle of sea salt on the intriguing, enticing nose. It's clean, super fresh, and with a chalky, salty vibe running underneath. The flavours burst with melon, citrus, peach, and lime and it finishes nice and long with a hint of tropical sunshine.
Chateau l'Orangerie Bordeaux Blanc (France) - This is a sensational value in traditional White Bordeaux. A blend of 85% Sauvignon Blanc and 15% Semillon from prime hillside sites in Entre-Deux-Mers district of Bordeaux. Brilliant pale yellow gold. Perfectly clean to the nose, expressive and attractively scented ripe lemon, grapefruit, white peach and star fruit. The palate offers a sense of clarity, lighter weight, and youthful fruit qualities. Poised and well-calibrated, the wine ends with a dry, mouth-watering finish leaving delicate aromatic highlights. A well-made example of a basic white Bordeaux.
Lajver "Sound Cuvee" White Blend (Spain) -Nestled between hills of the Transdanubian Mountains near the town of Szekszárd lies the ultra modern winery Lajver. Founded in 2011, the winery blends the best of modern winemaking with traditional techniques using both local and international grape varieties. The "Sound Cuvee" is a white blend that perfect exemplifies this philosophy blending Chardonnay with regional grapes Olaszrizling, Zöldveltelini, and Cserszegi Fűszeres (and no, we can't pronounce them either!). Aromas
Mentireiro Godello Y Treixadura (Spain) - Shining lemon yellow color with greenish and lemon elegant reflections. Intense where the elegant notes of white fruits such as apricot or apple blend with quince and bay hints. Splendid structure with slight oily texture. Glyceric, exceptionally well-balanced and with pleasant acidity innate from the Galicia terroir; long and fruity aftertaste.
