Domaine du Vieux Lazaret’s 2024 Châteauneuf‑du‑Pape Blanc is a refined, aromatic blend typically dominated by Grenache Blanc, Clairette, Roussanne, and Bourboulenc, with small supporting amounts of Picpoul and Picardan depending on the vintage. The wine opens with expressive aromas of white peach, pear, Meyer lemon, honeysuckle, acacia blossom, and subtle notes of fennel and wet stone. On the palate it is supple yet vibrant, offering a rounded, silky texture balanced by fresh acidity, carrying flavors of ripe orchard fruit, citrus oil, melon, and a gentle herbal‑mineral lift that reflects the galets roulés and limestone soils of the estate. The wine’s structure and elegance make it exceptionally food‑friendly, pairing beautifully with seared scallops, lobster, crab, roasted chicken, trout almondine, halibut, sole, creamy pastas, risotto, Niçoise‑style dishes, soft cheeses, and Provençal preparations featuring herbs, fennel, or citrus; its freshness also allows it to shine as an aperitif.
