Stay with it and the wine's earthiness begins to meld with the blueberry and chocolate richness. But it's all completely primary. While the mountain acidity is firm it is the tannins that dominate. There is a long black raspberry and mocha finish to the wine. Textbook Cabernet, with lots of dark fruits, lead pencil, violets, and cedary tobacco notes, it has firmer tannins, full-bodied richness, and a concentrated, age-worthy style.
