Cirillo 2021 "The Vincent" Grenache
$ 3999
The Cirillo family moved to the small district of Light Pass in 1970. Vincent Cirillo became the custodian some exceptional vineyards that were planted in 1848; today it is believed to be the oldest surviving and producing Grenache and Semillon parcels in the world. Their prized fruit has gone into well-known producers like Rockford, Peter Lehmann, St. Hallet and Torbreck.
Today Marco Cirillo is in charge of their ancient vineyards and the winery and focuses producing wines from their old vineyards. The Vincent Survivor Vine Grenache is 100% Grenache and comes from vines that were planted in 1906 and 1901. The Vincent offers inviting aromas of rich fruit and white pepper. The palate is generous with intense true varietal characteristics. It’s delicately rounded and generous. A superb Grenache that has a lingering finish. A wine that can be enjoyed now, or well into the future. - 93pts Parker's Wine Advocate
